Children's Learning Center is certified Star Level Two by the Quality Counts: Quality Rating System (QRS) initiative of the Illinois Department of Human Services.

The CLC Drive-Through Bar-B-Que will take place Thursday, August 12, from 4:30PM to 7:00PM. This popular annual fundraiser is catered by Fay's and offers complete dinners of 2 pork chops, 1/2 chicken, or a combination of 1 pork chop and 1/4 chicken. Side dishes for each dinner include applescauce, baked beans, coleslaw, and a roll and butter. CLC Board members, staff, and families are selling tickets for $12.00 each. What a deal! Children’s Learning Center (CLC) provides comprehensive day care services to children from six weeks to twelve years of age. CLC is licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services to serve 146 children at the day care center at 905 South Fourth Street, and a total of 66 school-age children in two DeKalb elementary schools.

CLC is open Monday through Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at 905 South Fourth Street. The before school program at Littlejohn School operates on school days from 6:45 a.m. to school time; the after school programs at Lincoln and Littlejohn Schools are open from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. See the calendar page for school holidays and days the Center is closed.

Children's Learning Center is a Kishwaukee United Way partner agency and a member program of Community Coordinated Child Care (4-C), serving the DeKalb area since 1968.

BAD WEATHER

In bad weather please listen to WLBK (1360 AM), WNIJ (89.5 FM), or WDKB (94.9 FM) to find out whether CLC will be open. In most cases an announcement will be on the radio by 6:00 a.m. Occasionally we are forced to close during the day; in this case we will notify parents.

When DeKalb Schools are closed, CLC's Lincoln and Littlejohn programs will not operate, although the day care center may remain open.
