The overall goal of the Center’s nutrition program is to promote sound physical, social and emotional growth as well as good eating habits. CLC participates in the United States Department of Agriculture's Child and Adult Care Food Program, and all meals and snacks meet federal requirements. Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack are served family style, with children and staff eating together. There is no separate charge for meals. We welcome menu suggestions and new recipes.

In most cases, special diets can be provided on the written advice of a physician indicating (a) the medical or other dietary need restricting the child’s diet, (b) the food or foods to be omitted from the child’s diet and (c) the food or choice of foods that may be substituted.
In the interest of good nutrition and dental hygiene, we ask that you not send your child to our program with food, gum, candy, etc. We enjoy special treats, but we try to avoid too much “junk.” Also, food service rules prohibit us from serving treats made at home.

Meals:

All CLC meals meet Child And Adult Care Food Program standards. Milk is served with each breakfast and lunch.

Menus:

CLC menus are on a six-week cycle and subject to change. Menu changes are posted by the Food Service Director at the Main Center in advance whenever possible.
