All CLC staff members meet standards enacted by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. Many of our staff have earned Associate, Bachelor, and Master degrees in a variety of fields suited to caring for young children, including, child development, early childhood education, elementary education, special education, curriculum and instruction, child and family studies, family social services, and psychology, among others.

All Head Teachers have a minimum of two years of college level study in child-related fields and 18 semester hours in courses related to young children, or a Child Development Associate Credential.

All Teachers have a minimum of two years of college-level study in child-related fields and at least 6 semester hours in courses related to young children.

In addition, CLC occasionally employs a Teacher Assistant or Aide when an applicant is in the process of working toward meeting the requirements for teacher qualification.
